Step 1. Go to Start,Control Panel.
Step 2. Select Administrative Tools,Services
Step 3. Select Messenger,right click and select disable or stop

there are no messenger services on windows 2000 control panel-administrative tools- just event viewer-personal web manager-performance-local security policy-internet services-data sources[odbc]-computer management-component services-server extensions-services and telnet server administration email me if you like at jameslesjones@hotmail.com
